For seven seasons, I have managed to avoid watching a single episode of American Idol. Now, because of my job, I have to. So last night I watched the season premiere. And you know what? It wasn't bad. I actually really liked it. There were some amazing singers singing some good songs, and the bad singers weren't so much embarrassing as hysterical. My wife and I have never missed an episode. Prepare yourself mentally for the day you can't WAIT to watch it, because you REALLY hope so-and-so gets booted because they suck and you cannot for the life of you understand how America can be so STOOPID as to have kept him/her on for that long, when you KNOW that so-and-so deserves to win, but might be in trouble if all of the little kids who voted for so-and-so power voted as much as you fear they might have.
That day is coming...
I still respect you- even though AI is the equivalent of how you feel about Ben Stiller movies to me.
