I Came, I Observed, I Laughed My Ass Off

Do not let the recent Paul Blart: Mall Cop turn you off to the vast genre of mall cop movies. Seth Rogen's latest -- which was written and directed by Foot Fist Way and Eastbound & Down helmer Jody Hill -- is hysterical, if slightly disturbing, incredibly violent and pretty raunchy. But it's got one of the funniest casts I've ever seen, plus Ray Liotta, who is funny in his own way. Read my review at MoviesWithoutPity.com, either before or after you see the movie, depending on your preference.

Fanboys: Not Just for Fanboys Anymore

I got to see Fanboys last week, and it was both better than and not as good as I thought it was going to be. But it's got Kristen Bell and Seth Rogen in it, and is totally worth seeing, whether you're a Star Wars fan, a Veronica Mars fan or a Knocked Up fan. Star Trek fans may want to see it, too, but only so they know what to complain about on the Internet. You can read my review at MoviesWithoutPity.com!

Yeah, Fanbooooooyyyys!

This cinematic love letter to Star Wars (Episode I, no less) is finally coming out, and it's not only pretty damn funny, it's jam-packed with celebrity fanboys and fangirls making cameos. Original Star Wars cast members, famous directors, and some of the greatest comedy talent of the past few years are all here, and I've got a breakdown of all of their appearances, including one guy who isn't even in the credits. Check it out at MoviesWithoutPity.com below.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith Must Be Proud

Well, Kevin Smith has finally crossed the line. By putting his characters' endless discussions of pornography right in the title of his new movie, he has caused himself no end of censorship and free publicity. Speaking of free publicity, I wrote an article explaining how Smith has embraced his new, "Porno"-less title by rewriting the entire film to remove any references to pornography. Check it out at MoviesWithoutPity.com!
